The lead program is full! We've received a lot of interest in the program over the last 2.5 years, and we've been able to repair a lot of homes and educate a lot of residents. We're thrilled the city has been so supportive of the program. We hope to bring a new 3-year program to the City of Manchester in the fall of 2018; we are applying for funding right now. Check back in October 2018 to inquire about new funding for lead abatement.

If you are a Manchester property owner in urgent need of lead abatement services because you have received a state lead order, please reach out to NHHFA to inquire about their program. Landlords looking to perform lead abatement proactively can find state-certified lead abatement contractors at the NH DHHS Healthy Homes web site.

The Rehab program for owner-occupied housing is still running spring and summer 2018. We expect to be able to fund around 15 more projects. We address emergency issues, code violations, and other urgent needs - roofing, heating, sewer, etc. The program provides up to $15,000 per property for needed repairs for low-to-moderate income Manchester residents. Funds are awarded as 0% interest loans. (Please note that the program can fund standard-quality replacements or repairs - this program does not fund upgrades or address non-code costs. The average cost of enrolled projects in the last 12 months has been $10,000.)
