The Manchester Lead Hazard Reduction Program is enrolling for the Spring/Summer 2017 construction season. Our capacity is filling up fast, so we recommend that you apply in May to ensure that we can schedule you for a summer start date. We are looking to enroll rental properties in Manchester where children under the age of 6 are living.
Our current program runs through fall 2018, and we are currently ahead of schedule. But don't wait until 2018 to apply! At the rate we are enrolling new properties for lead abatement, we may have all scheduled units in queue in just the next 6 months.
In particular, if you have a larger building of 6+ units, we recommend that you apply for funding right now. We still have capacity for larger properties, but it may be "too late" in 2018.
As a reminder, our current program does not require repayment of lead abatement funds, as long as owners continue to rent to low-to-moderate income families for 3 years. Contact us with questions!
